There are 2 start/finish lines. Each person has their own.

The big arrows at each start line indicate the direction of travel of that car. There are actually two start lines and two finish lines. The finish lines are in-line with each other so that the judges can get a visual on who finishes first. Stare at it some more, you'll figure it out.

And if you can't figure it out... maybe you'll want to skip this one?

What I gather so far from this thread/the PDF:
Both cars start at the same line, both cars travel the same direction. If you catch up to the car in front, you are to follow along at a safe distance -- no passing allowed. If you catch up to the car in front, you will finish first.

How will the faster person cross the finish line first if there is no passing? It seems like the only way to win is to beat the other car off the line.

I have to be reading this map wrong...
there are two start / finish lines .. on opposite sides of the track .. the two cars start on opposite sides; the first one back to there own starting line wins... if you catch the car in front of you he is a half lap behind you.. get it ?

I went home and fixed my front camber after Sunday's event. I am no longer running -5 degrees of camber up front, I've backed it out to -1 and I'll probably try -2 for the Primus event. My tires are shot on the inside shoulders; my own damn fault, I should have fixed the camber a while ago.

So, the smack talk. Now that I will have more contact patch on the track, I am hoping to be even faster. It felt really good to run where I did on Sunday (although the RE070's and coilovers do give me some advantage) and I'm feeling pretty good about Primus. I have driven there before and I might go run there this coming weekend. Karts and cars are two different things though. I am kinda bummed that no passengers will be allowed, I might lose a little time without my trusty co-driver. We'll see.

Hehe: -5...ouch. I miss my RE070, I have a set down to the wear bars.

Karts??? Hmm, can I rent one? If so, I am in.

I'm trying to get a friend in Orlando let me borrow his Gram Lights w/ slicks for the Primus event. But that'll bump be into class C, with all them there STi cars...

As long as I don't come in last, no matter what class I'm in

I don't know Kenny, if you had slicks and light wheels I'd be willing to bet that you could beat most of the STi's. The portion of the Primus track that we will be running is really tight, add in all of the cones and it gets even tighter. Tires could make all the difference in the world.

Amen. There are a couple of places where a little speed can be made. But with a 7 cone 60' slalom taking about half the straight, tires are where it will be at. And talent.

It was amazing to watch the shifter cart run the slalom and see how slow he had to get too. Which is exactly what it was designed to do, keep speeds down at the end of the straight-away.
