Half of the Primus track (the half we're using) was designed for kart racing. But it's not a "kart track" in the way I think you're thinking. Not where you go pay $5 to rent a slow go-kart and run for a few minutes. It's a track for RACING go karts. People bring their shifter karts out and race them.

I know i'm a little stupid at times, so please bear with me, but why does this look impossible to me?
What I gather so far from this thread/the PDF:
Both cars start at the same line, both cars travel the same direction. If you catch up to the car in front, you are to follow along at a safe distance -- no passing allowed. If you catch up to the car in front, you will finish first.
How will the faster person cross the finish line first if there is no passing? It seems like the only way to win is to beat the other car off the line.
I have to be reading this map wrong...
