Didn't go so well.
Woke up late and missed practice. No big deal really.
In qualifying they moved where they usually start and stop timing to a different location so we let off a good bit early during the two good laps we got. Qualified 27th when we usually are in the top 10.
During the first 2 six lap races we gained and finished 16th and 15th respectively without really pushing the car too hard.
The last race was a 30 minute race and we planned to push it hard. By half way through we had gained to 12th but then had a brake failure going into a turn (forget which #) and wrecked the car. Wasn't too bad, just lost the bumper and brake cooling ducting. The front end needed to be freshened up on the car anyways.
At first we though the crash was because of brake fade due to the heat but I was pretty confident in the Porterfields so after some testing in the pits I think it was a brake booster failure which is better in my eyes because there really isn't anything else I can do to cool the brakes better and not break the rules.
There were some positives though. We were at previous races experiencing real bad fuel starvation during hard right cornering. For this race I installed a second fel pump in the gas tank in place of the left hand fuel sending/siphon unit and we didn't run into any starvation problems except for when we ran with less than 1/8th to 1/10th of a tank. I also became more motivated to finish my own car soon.

New analysis on the brakes.
We boiled the fluid and lost the master cylinder. I'm pretty sure I've got solutions for the heat problems just have to recheck the rule book to make sure the ideas are not illegal.
Does anyone know of where I can get a one-way check valve that is fuel safe? I need it to have an orifice opening of at least 8mm.
