Hopefully Steve will be leaving BEFORE the butt-crack of dawn. But, Steve, if you want to get another hour of sleep it sounds like the course is at least half done already. No one will blame you for not wanting to waking up at 4:30.

It's cool either way..... I'd get up earlier and lend a hand myself if my normal sleep schedule wasn't f'd up. I work 7pm-7am shifts so I'm doing good just to get up at my normal bedtime

well, I made a last minute decision to go....guess I'm gonna hate work on monday because of this....
this also means that it is going to rain in the morning, GS and the other stock classes are gonna run, dry off the track, and everybody else gets nice and dry runs....that's what happened the last n times i showed up at GIR.....can't remember what it's like to drive there when it isn't wet

I was in that same run group last time and was pissed too, but had no one but Mother Nature to blame. I've been to GIR maybe five times and only drove it dry once.

Well, it's long before the butt-crack of dawn and I don't see any chance of rain. Hope this turns out better than last time, but I didn't sleep a wink so I know I'll drive like shit (especially on the way back home). Tylenol PM and three beers....may as well have slammed ten cups of coffee.

We need to get some CB's so that people can radio alerts for pigs on the way up to G'Ville or the way down to Ft. Myers.

Well, you saw how it turned out. I guess it was sort of done, but it still took until almost 9 to finish...........AND IT SUCKED. Thanks for getting up early Steve. Hopefully not having to stand out in the sun working the course and being able to head home early was worth it. We did make some good time. By my clock, we went from that rest area to GIR in 1:30.

Note to self, never make a course longer than 60 seconds. 3 runs absolutely blows. At least it was dry, that is for everyone except "Muddy". I thought that tag had some connection to New Orleans......now I understand. I wish I had that on video. The splash of dirty water had to go at least 10 feet high (I wouldn't get a kick out of it if he and the car weren't both alright).

Hope someone had fun today.

what's so much funnier is how Brian was talking about comparing how nice his car was compared to Alan Gross' Miata.

Not to mention he did the same thing to my car in Alabama last january.

Brian....if you read this. DONT LIFT!

You and your codriver were playing in the dirt a little yourselves. 5 minutes at the car wash made the car look nice again.
