Default ipod connectivity question

I want to get something to connect my girlfriend's ipod mini to her 03 civic ex. I have heard bad things about fm transmitters and was wondering if there is another option that would work with her factory head unit since its just the standard am/fm/cd unit.

It there is a wired option, I may also be interested in having someone install it. Thanks.

you can do a wired fm modulator, this probably be the best - it is put in line with the factory antenna, so you still have to tune to a fm channel to get ipods sound.
