Default Most Expensive Porsche on TR?

Well, here you have it. We have been working our way up through a very high-end clients' vehicles and boats over the last few months when he finally let us get our hands on his beloved toy. This is a 2004 Porsche 911 GT2. He paid $192k for it brand new and 2004 was the last year they were produced. It kicked out almost 500HP to the rear wheels and ran over 190 mph on BIG twin turbos. It cost more than the Lamborghini Gallardo and out ran it also! This car is pure nasty. The owner (who swings through TR from time to time) gave us permission to post pics.

Our mission was to update the electronics (stereo, radar/laser jammer, alarm) and some interior work from it's original 5 year old installation. All JL Audio of course for the subs and amp, with updated color-matched Focals for mids/highs. We wanted to gut the Pioneer HU to go with his usual Alpine selections but he likes the interface-we kept it. Suede black headliner and call it a day. This car sounds as good as it performs but suprisingly to shave weight, it has no sound deadening material and the owner CAN'T be convinced to add it. Oh well. Enjoy-we did!

Yes, we had gotten it in between the major detailing it was getting. It had already been buffed but not polished or waxed yet. The lovebugs are just from about 10 miles of driving it to the shop! The wheels were getting repaired so they were delaying the rest of the detail until everyone's hands were off of it. He agreed to letting us do a real photoshoot when it is complete for our new website so I'll be sure to post new pics then under our shop forum. And yes, Presidential does KICK ASS work. We are going to sub some work to him in the future for customers like this.

Is the owner on a quest to convert his Porche into a civic?

Nice audio system though. I like the efficient use of space.

I don't get it?

The carbon fiber wing, door sill panels, mirror housings, graphics, etc are all part of the upgraded "Clubsport" factory package at a cost of about $12k.

The yellow brake 6 piston front calipers and 4 piston rear calipers are factory painted-the rotors are all ceramic cross-drilled also from the factory.

If you are referring to the basket style wheels, they are NOT the factory GT2 originals. The owner is one who uses his cars and the factory 19's were not to his "taste" at 190 mph. So these are some special 3 piece magnesium alloy something or rather that the owner had imported from Germany due to even more weight savings. I do know that they are $4k+ a piece because the ower curbed it a few weeks back which delayed us in getting the car in for the upgrades. Apparently magnesium wheels are not repairable-OOPS!

The truly amazing part about this car is that it has about 22k miles on it. The guy actually drives it on the streets (and of course the track). I understand that he has 4-5 supercars in his stable (along with his regular array of Benz's, Rovers, etc.) and he runs them all instead of leaving them locked up in the garage. He likes his tunes also-both of the original JL subs were BLOWN. And, everything he owns has big stereos in them-from the bass boat/flats boats/yachts, to this Porsche. That is what makes a client like him FUN!
