My 6.5" Polk DB component speakers will destroy any 6x9 speaker in COMPARABLE price range and wattage handling range.

Dalton's going to come in here with some gay math but we all know how that never works out in real world applications.

Who thinks that their midbass would beat my 6.5's? Post up what you have.

LOGIC? You seriously want to invoke logic in a conversation about fake hijackings, missiles hitting the pentagon, and bombs planted throughout the world trade center? I thought it was a given that logic was checked at the door when entering one of these threads.

6.5" speaker present a maximum surface area of 33.17 sq inch

6x9" speaker present a maximum surface area of 43.2 sq inch

6x9s also have bigger voice coils.

It would be in HIS car, same exact setup, same location (minus tweeters for components), same amp, same wiring, EVERYTHING.

only diff would be 6.5's just need adapter plate.

He said that the 6x9s would output more midbass, i say no.

6x9 coax has a big ass MOUNT for the tweeter(s) right in the middle, so that already hurts their sq inchage. not to mention the tweeters are in the way, with the mount, so the voice coil is probably too big around it, the obstruction, and the hole for the tweeter mount is gasketed.

Haha I know some 6x9s that DESTROY those in terms of mid-bass ... As for 6.5s I would be typing for a while for the ones I know that would beat them.

Not 6.5s versus my 6.5s

Im talking about 6.5s vs 6x9s in general. I'm making the assy statement of mine killing THE MAJORITY of 6x9s in the same pricerange and wattage range.
You need to learn to read better.
