speaker question
will amplifing the car door speakers will make a huge difference? such as clarity? or more bump?....to me i think it is a waste of money on buying another seperate amp just to give the speakers 40-50watts while the h/u give out alittle power alone.
what you guys think?

Yeah it makes a huge diffeence espicially if you have good speakers.

Compare your '4x50' headunit to a 4x50 amp. First, the headunit is much smaller, and it has to have all the headunit stuff, as well.
Then, check the power. Best case, 200 watts takes about 14 amps (14.4 v, 100% efficient) while most headunit only have 5-10amp fuses
I'm not saying that headunit manufacturers lie, but...

That's what you're CLEARLY saying Toby
.
On top of the fact that you don't have to worry about the low power output of those internal amps, you have a lot less noise and clearer sound (as long as you have good wires that are set up PROPERLY).
Take advantage of and fine tune the crossovers built into most amps, thus allowing you to raise the volume even higher while protecting your speakers AND making them sound "better". (better being a subjective term)
