Face your subs into the passenger compartment, no trunk rattles.
expanding foam will not solve the problem because bass isn't just pushing on the panel all the time. Regardless of how much foam you put into the middle of the panels, the subs produce negative air pressure which pulls the panels outwards as well. All you are doing is adding something else for the sheet metal to smack into.
Dynamat works by dampening incoming vibration from other panels, and weighing down the panel itself so that it takes much more force to move it. Anything lighter is useless. Thats half the reason it takes twice as much peel n seal of equivalent because they are lighter than dynamat.

metal on metal vibration= loud clattering noise. metal on foam = no clattering. when you get a chance pop your hood and look between petween the outer sheet metal and the inner skeliton. you will see quarter size daps of foam from the factory......why? ....to prevent clattering vibration. btw you cant physically get dynamat in some places such as between a peices of sheet metal spotwelded together(like between the skeliton and sheet metal of a hatch or inner structure parts. like i said its a cheap quick fix, dynamat isnt a fixall either
I foamed up the inside of my trunk panels and it barely made a difference until I RAMmatted it.

A quarter sized portion is also a lot different than filling your trunk openings to the brim.
nothing will stop violant vibration from a subwoofer. not even dynamat. shit i can sit on my trunk and it will still vibrate. once again...cheap fix. and you cant tell me it dosnt work. its ben tried and tru. probly not good for every aplication but it worked for me. im not sayin everyone go out and do this instead of dynamat. of corse it no replacement for dnamat but its another option to get the rattels that dynamat didnt because of accessibility issues. so quit bein such a nay-sayer dalton

Now there's some logic!
