you have GOT to be kidding me... I have a system in my car, I will most likely never get a ticket... wanna know why? I USE THE FREE AC IN MY CAR INSTEAD OF SWEATING LIKE A DIPSHIT while also annoying EVERYONE around you with your 200 watt kicker cvr's. you may feel cool jaming out, but we dont want to hear your shit.. it most likely sounds like shit anyways! so just a hint. next time use the a/c that you DONT pay for but is on your car, keep the windows UP and turn it down at the lights if you think your that loud still.
....but theres another way to think of it....COPS ARE DICKHEADS and they dont appreciate what kids do now-a-days

it just pisses me off and im glad to hear cops are doing somthing about it. I have loud systems too but i dont blare them at lights.. 2 eclipse titanuim 12's, kicker 1250.1sx amp and plenty of highs to go with it but I dont try to set off alarms at the mall, or annoy people at lights ect.

i have a loud system too, but i was at the mall having some fun on a boring night where no one else could hear it and i wasnt in a neighborhood, but yea i can see why he got the ticket, ive got the same one i was driving and the cop pulled me over, i turn my system down at lights and neighborhoods but when im driving i turn it up alittle

You turn econo cars from way back in the 80's and 90's and try to make them into some bastardized image of a "street-sportscar" using cheesy and embarrassingly stupid methods. Do you really think your car is modded when all you've done to it is rip out the intake and put on some stupid loud muffler/pipe on it? Does that suddenly give you the power to race Ferrari's and break land speed records in your 87 honda civic?

You try and lift cars on huge silver plates that cost much more than the car's KBB value, for what reason? Have absolutely no idea, can you use these "rims"? No. Can you see them while driving? No. Do they somehow enhance the car? No, actually it hurts it in gas mileage, speed, reliability, and stopping ability.
Three: You kids try and stuff as many different shaped woofers that your measly parent's allowance can afford and throw it into a "box" made of an old table tennis board. You try and stuff them all in your ghetto rust trap of a car. You drive it around sometimes, at the peak hours of the night when most normal people should be sleeping, say 3 AM, and you drive around.... slowly.

This is why I dislike the people that go for SPL rather than SQ. The majority of the amateurs don't know shit about anything and just plague the community with their stupidity. THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO EVERYONE. I have met many of you on these boards that have gone for SPL and have succeeded and proven to me at the meets that you do have well thought out, nicely designed machines of boom that are worthy of much respect.

Dan's right on, though. It all comes down to personal responsibility and respect. Unfortunately, these come from maturity and life experience, which seem to arrive at different times, for different people.

Funny story along the same lines.
I have a customer, who's kid got a stereo ticket. So this guy (mid 50's) goes and sits in front of Denny's, with talk radio blasting, waiting for some cops. When a couple show up, he says 'can you hear my radio?'. Cop says yes. Then he asks 'are you 25 feet away'. Again, cop says yes. So, he says 'I want a ticket'. Cop gives him one.
So, he goes to court. Thing is,the guy is legally hearing impaired. He argues that he needs it that loud just to hear it. Judge agrees, and asks the cops if they measured the distance, which they did not. Then he asks if they had a DB meter, which they didn't. So, judge says that the current law is vauge and unenforceable, and throws out the ticket. So, the guy tells the judge about his son's ticket, which the judge also throws out.
Not exactly how I'd have done it, but ...

lol. honestly i agree with everyone. i am also hearing impaired....but that wasnt me ^^^^^^....but the only thing i have to argue, that kids have differ interest in things that they like to do. such as loud stero(me 
)....the thing i think is stupid is those rice burners....i think thats retarded...i bet they dont even race and they are still slow it just the muffler intimidates everyone.
but the real question is why the make products that are not even allowed in the road. such as speakers,mufflers,and engine upgrades? and there making laws for them when you can purchase those products,and people are still using them on the streets.
