midbass in the doors (properly prepared), mid / tweeter in a properly aimed kick panel / pod. The higher the frequency, the more directional, so you can get away with a door mounted midbass.

I'd go with Toby and my idea for the speakers, and then do gradeA_'s sub box, you'll have the "floor" a little taller behind you but man that would sound loud and sweet.

I dont know about clarity though since that would be right behind you but who knows?

I like the idea, but I'm hesitant of doing any serious construction (beyond a weekend or so) since full time school + internship + work + gf = not that much time. Keep in mind the stock location is in the front of the door, almost to the dash. I suppose a 4 inch and tweeter wouldn't take up that much in the kick panels, and if I felt crazy I could even overlap them. I just hate aiming kick panels.

As far as the sub box, I have jumpseats that I'd like to retain (not like they will ever get used, but I dont need more shit cluttering up my house), so I will have to do a false floor and creative amp rack, and probably go with an 8 or slim 10.

edit: These have a cutout diameter of 6 inches, I could mount them in the rear doors, and run them off the 500/1, so I'd only have to worry about an amp rack.

my brother had my two 15's in his ranger, but he could'nt move the seats back, it was too loud in his truck also, but he has a 12 inch W7 on a 500/1 and it sounds really good and he has plenty of room, but he know has a 2007 chevy colorado

Drop by and check out the tactile stuff, though. Its too cool.

damn it looks like it had serious promise too.

Since Crystal went under, you probably won't get much if you try and sell your comps, so Id keep em. +1 to the door midbass and midrange/tweet kick panel.
