Default Need some help.

Ok, Here is the thing, My friend gave me a Clarion in dash TV. He didn't like it cause it doesn't have a built in cd player. I figure there has to be a way to make it work.

I am wondering if you guys know of a way to make this thing work with my head unit that I already have now. I took some pictures of the back of the head unit, hopefully they can help you guys to help me. LOL.

Hopefully you guys know of something that can help me out.

Yes and no.....

Technically, you could run the audio outs from your cd player to the video inputs of the screen and have sound without video. But you will need an adapter for the CCD connection on the back of the screen for video input (the yellow RCA connect is for CNEt connection only, not video input). You best option would be a standalone DVD/CD player and the adapter.

Do you have the wire harness for the screen?

It looks to have a standard power/speaker harness plug, a J bus interface, and a changer interface that could also be AI-net or the brain control module.

I doubt it will run without the brain. If it would, you would at least need the power/speaker harness to connect power. You might be able to get away with soldering power wires to the two larger pins and the acc is the top pin next to the power pins.

No I don't, he got another one, and I think he used it for that.

Are you saying I could do it, but nothing would show up on the screen? That would defete the whole purpose of what I am trying to do. Or will I not be able to do stuff like videos? ( which I don't really care about right now. )

Would it be easier if I got like, a cd changer, and hooked that up?
