thinking of adding a couple new lines
toby if you can get re or treo, they are great companies.also might wanna look into interfire, they look like jl,but have a re basket on them. o2 is a very good company, but only if your not purchasing from our st pete friends, lol.dd would be good if your willin to sell near cost, their lower ends are affordable, but dealers overprice.i also suggest memphis for name brand factor.fi would also be good.cant blame you for passing on kicker its hard to make profit with them.you might wanna take a look at mmats it costs more just like dd,but their lower lines are good also.just my opinion.
as i do know the brands your looking at are pretty good stuff. in my opinion atleast 1 line more mainstream in the shop would bennifit much better as far as business proffit. advertise you carry so and so, when people come in and see that RE sounds better then the RF by a long shot, there gonna go over to the RE.. IMO just a way to get people in the door.
picking up a mainstream like isnt as easy as just saying hey I got RF or Kicker. There are seller zones, price matching, minimum purchases, and advertised pricing minimums that you must follow. Not to mention, the profit margin on low volume sales is horrid =(
The ID line really intrigues me. The IDmax is quite impressive, but I'm even more impressed with their 'entry level' ID sub.
The ID12 dual 2 has an Xmax of 17mm, FS of 20, and QTS of .372. Power handling is 400w rms. Will play low, loud, and be well controlled.
Retails for $169

i know all of the stuff that comes along with carrying a line of any product, my family owns a business where everything works the same way... i just think a big name, any big name, would help bring in more business.
I wouldn't do RE. Ever since they were bought out their prices have sky-rocketed. There is a local RE shop in Tampa as well though if no one knew. I think ID would be a good way to go. Along with Digital Designs, SunDown, Soundspliter, and Incriminator Audio. Stereo Intergrity, CDT, and Rainbow as well. I am not sure if all those brands will whole-sale though. I would reccomend FI but I know they don't whole sale.
Filling out Sundown paperwork as we speak...
