whats the acrylic lid for? Have you ever done any work on an ext. cab tundra?

 

The one over the 4 12's? That was in an explorer, and he had baby stuff to toss back there, but didn't want grills.

Don't think we've done a tundra, but when you get down to it, vehicles are more the same than they are different. What did you have in mind?

hahaha - I thought u sold it. And im pretty sure I got you beat now that I got my ported box in =)

In this case, it was a depth issue. See, they aren't really in a box...they fire into a fairly narrow bass vent into the cab. And, it does help protect the cone.

There is no measureable sonic or power handling advantage.

Don't you remember last months lesson...the sound comes from the magnet, so its louder with the magnet outside the box.

For those who don't know what I'm referring to...its a joke...sound does not come from the magnet, except in strange worlds, with multiple suns, where bass from reverse wooferrs blows taillights...
