i'm all antsy in my pantsy.
project "ballin on a best buy budget" is almost done. the last part for my system will be here wednesday. god willing, we'll be able to finish it up over the weekend (and if the meet is on sunday and not saturday, i can probably bring it out
)...
final (for now) setup will be as follows:
alpine cde-9845
infinity ref6010cs components
alpine mrp-t220 powering the comps
2 Elemental Designs 13kv.2 D2 subs in a ~2.5 cube prefab sealed box (still leaves me with a little trunk space... not much though)
alpine mrp-m650 @ 2 ohms powering the subs
a whole shitload of rockford fosgate wiring
a whole shitload of dynamat xtreme (both front doors and the trunk)
i'll eventually be looking for a 4 or 6 channel line driver/eq combo, probably audiocontrol, but frankly i'm out of money at the moment (and the alpine amps max out at 4 or 5v anyways). i'll make a post in the review sticky as soon as everything is up and running.
thoughts? opinions? questions? underage thai hookers?

if you want a good amp that can do more then 5 or so volts do kicker, i believe they max at like 16, talk to a guy that works a CC and trade him discounts lol, get him osmthing alping and have him get you somthing kicker
PICS!! not done, but here's the progress as of today.
sorry for the crappy pics.
waiting on my second 13kv.2

the install so far

comps
9845
easy access
bye bye trunk space
no more dead hookers back here
this stupid boot for the retractable center seatbelt is breaking my balls. i'd have a good 4 extra inches of room to go back if the box wasn't running into that piece of rubber.
obligatory "jesus my car is dirty" shot
more to come in a few days. i can't take any credit for the majority of the actual work... i picked the amp and crossover placement and let one of our installers, ryan, work his magic while i sold gps units to blue haired old ladies over a couple of sessions.

and what the hell is a dual-reflective cd?
nice setup. Looks to be a clean install excluding the tweeter mounting. Why the prefab box tho?
where the CD is reflective on both sides, can write only on the 'green' side and the reflective side has no brand marking or anything. Regular CDs like memorex and imation usually have a frosted printing side, those work fantastic.
Bottom line is, no cheaping out on the CD-R's .... =[

the tweeters are surface mounted because i'm not 100% if i'm sticking with the infinity comps or going with a set of alpine type-r's. either way they'll end up flush mounted. the prefab box was really, really cheap, and frankly i don't want to even think about trying to glass something into that trunk.

I am not a fan of screwing through the seats - did you use a MDF panel under the carpet?
where does the other fuse lead run to? a future amp?
Also, have you thought about just removing the center seatbelt? how often do u use it?
and last but not least, what are those crossovers driving?
makes sense...
