i wanted them there? i didn't want to leave them in the doors, and i'd seen a couple of installs with the crossovers just kinda chilling in the trunk, and i liked the look, so i went with it. the mrp-m650 is going directly above them.

i agree, crossovers in the doors suck, when i fix mine up i'll think of having them taken out and relocated... though maybe not as far as the trunk

don't know, haven't heard them yet. their old flat cone speakers were the shit, and from all indications these new v.2 subs are an improvement in every way from those... so i'm excited to hear them.
