Amps not powering up
Hey guys got a little problem. About a week ago I turned on my car and both my amps didnt turn on, neither lights on the amps are light up or in protect mode. the amps are powered by a yellow top optima that is connected to my main car battery. well today i took a look at it and i really couldnt tell what was wrong. all the fuses seem to be good, the main one by the battery is still good, and it sparks if its touched to metal accidently so i know its circulating power. only thing i noticed is that usually when i put new fuses is the distributer in the back of the car they will usually give the usual spark , but not this time. to me it seems like i have a bad connection from the yellow top to the distributer or something. but all the wires seem to be good. the remote wires seem to be in properly, the only thing i havent checked was the back of the cd player. i did put the battery on charge and it was quite low, so im hopin i didnt blow the amps up. anyone have this problem before or know a way to check the amps?
if you dont own a multimeter then you are incapable of diagnosing your amps.
Do like tbspyder said and check for +12v at the amps, the remote lead, and continuity through the ground.
