ehh the 05 & 06 lineup for sony are pretty nice sq wise. They still have ridiculous RMS ratings. But I would take a high end sony sub over a kicker cvr any day.

at CC we have 2 sony 12's on display in a sealed box. they sound like ASS. complete ASS. you give them any power and they sound like there going to fall apart... we have one infinity reference 12' on the other side that blows them out of the water in loudness and clarity, and its cheaper!

Haven't seen the new Sony stuff yet, but I gotta say, I'd take Kicker over Sony anyday on just the name alone. The CVR may be a sloppy sub, but it can also be pretty loud...I've yet to see a "loud" Sony sub. Their amps are huge and cheap looking. And their decks are overly flashy with a bunch of useless features, like their trying to appeal to a teenage girl.

Let's hope so. 48" of cone space in a Civic? That should be rattling your teeth. What kind of subs? Got pics?

Almost as bad as spelling retarded wrong. TWICE.

Could be 4 shitty subs, sounds like crap but gets loud. That is the entire purpose. Some people dont want SQ, some just want the loudest car on the block, and they dont care about brand or whatever. most of the g-rides around here have bullet tweeters everywhere and sound like pure crap. But I sure hear them 1/4 mile away. And thats what they want.

It's called being tone def. Must be nice too, you don't need to spend bucket loads of money on quality equipment. Some people are simply impressed by "loud" no matter how it sounds.
