Default FAQ section?

I know all of us have different opinions on things, but would it be crazy to put up a FAQ sticky for those general questions we got all the time? IE, what does OHMS mean, how many watts can an amp push is it only has 1 20 amp fuse, etc etc... Which points are good grounding points under the hood / trunk?

I don't think it'd really make a difference in the amount of repeat questions. We have a seperate for sale forum, and look at how many dumbasses still make for sale posts in here. Not to mention there's a very effective "search" option.

Well we're all victims of the stupid bugs at times. I think it would be a good idea to have seperate section for techincal audio questions.

the "effective" search option has never been effective. you type honda civic boost and you get 1000's of threads regarding how to boost a honda civic, not useful information.

Same thing with our audio section

A FAQ may effectively eliminate more than half the activity of AHQ and also there are morons who woul argue the meaning of such words at watts ohms and current draw...

^^ Agreed, but general discussion about Car Audio / opinions would never stop. I'm talking strictly TECHNICAL information. IE, the maximum Watts an AMP can theoretically put out is V*Fuse Amperage. (20 AMP Fuse x 12 Volts (average) = 240 Watts)

General definition of Ohms: Resistance of Electricity

Sealed box: allows for smaller enclosures
Poerted box: allows for larger enclosures

S/N Ratio, Stereo Seperation etc etc

you get the point

LOL Sounds like you need a FAQ section more than anyone else.

Ya know TBS, I can't remember the last time you mentioned anything positive? Just trying to give new tr guys some general insight. But I guess you must be god and know all. Wish I was like you.

This is incorrect info - never use fuses to determine power output

Make the FAQ and we can all work on it.

I was always under the impression of
1 watt = 1 volt × 1 ampere
X Watts = 12 volts x 20 Amps
240 Watts

I'll start the new FAQ thread this weekend. Be a nice lil project for everyone to contribute to.
