Default what you need

I would suggest testing the output voltage on your alternator you currently have. Also check the amperage. Face facts, if you arent making enough amps for the power you are drawing, its time for an upgraded alternator, this will set you back about 400-600. Stinger, Ohio Generator are quality names. You should have 2 1farad stiffening caps, golden rule is 1 cap per 1000 watts. Put a red top optima at the alternator, you should not need more than this. If you need more power, then put a yellow top deep cycle in the rear. Go to a quality shop for installations, with this amperage the chance of major damage and or fire is real. Mad Marks of Bradenton is a very credible shop with great product. Good Luck www.madmarks.com

There's your problem right there. I'm surprised it's just your lights dimming and not your car turning completley off. You should be able to pick up a high output alternator at most good auto parts stores. Probably can find one a little cheaper online though, search. It would be highley recommended to uprgrade to a red top and atleast 4 guage wiring (from your new alternator to your new battery, and battery ground) at the same time. You'll more than likely notice your system is louder and/or cleaner as well with this upgrade. A battery alone just won't cut it, and I see capacitors as nothing more than a band-aid.

i would first up grade your power wire from ur battery to ur altenator if that doesnt work, second battery with a isolator, if that doesnt work bigger altenator.

Capacitors are useless, just a great marketing scheme.
