it didnt BLOW UP...it was wired 2 ohm by the stereo shop that insalled em, i took em outta the box, they looked fine..no rips, no burn marks nothing...just when turned up a little bit it sounded like they were smacking against something...i tested each one seperatly and they both did it.

I blew 3 subs in 2 weeks...
I feel the pain..
First to go was a sucky Sony Xplod
2nd was a nice JBL that was already dying
the 3rd was some cheap as POS that i had laying around
I have a JL in there that is working until i rebuild.

the solos's are very picky about the box they are in if its not right they will blow if its a sealed box and not completely air tight they will blow and if its a ported box and the port and/or box size aren't right they will blow also they dont handle low bass in a poted box well at all so if the crossover was set too low it will cause them to blow also
