Default To cap or not to cap, This is the question

yes I know I know, Curtis don't you hate caps? Yes I do but a while ago I bought a monster cable cap with dig readout for only 20 bucks and I put the cap in the back and positioned it so the volts would reflect off the rear window. Thats the only reason I bought it was for the volt read out. Now i am upgrading to the 1500 brutus so will the cap still b any good? I read somewhere if ur going over 1000 watts and using only 1 farad ur losing more than ur gaining so what do you guys think?

i would put in an extra battery and if you wnat to put the cap in it wont hurt. the brutus amp draws alot of curent so it would be better to have a battery. if you put the cap in the closer it is to the amp the beter it will work.

But if you already have it you might as well use it.

yes it can hurt because a cap does not hold voltage for long periods of time it lets it out fast and will recharge just as fast, so if you dont have the voltage to suport your system the cap will hurt you more that it will help you. thats why i say get an extra battery
