correct me if i'm wrong, but werent w7's built for sq... and make amazing spl power reguardless?

 

W7 was built for all around sound, SQ and SPL.

MTX came out with the 9500 for the same reason, and they also wanted to outdo the ever so popular W7 which it looks like they did. Ive seen the 9500 go on audiohole for 400 shipped

 

400 shipped is below my cost as an mtx dealer my cost on them is like 390 for the sub shipping is extra but your right the w7 is made to be all around loud bur having a 1000 wat sub is pointlless in sq because the classing is done by the power you have in your system and when you have that much power on your subs it outs you in a higher class with the big boy's that that have more in money in mids and his than you have in your system.

the only reason i considerd the w0's in because i though i was outbid on the 3 12w3 setup but i decided to kick up the bid a lil higher. the only reason i wanted to go with the 3 12w0 setup was the cost......but i'm hopeing to get the 3 12w3's.....bid ends in 5 hours.... ::teeth grind:: i think if i loose the bid for the 3 12w3's i'll see if the guy is still selling the w7..... I guess single sub setups arent that bad if you have the right subs. from the setups i've heard and out of logical sense i figured multisub setups had more of a ""filling" or greater "impact" than a single sub setup. I'm definitly an SQ fan moreso than SPL but the reason i'm switching over from my infinity 10's to the JL 12's is that i want to see if the JL's are as crisp as the infinity perfects but with more SPL, and if they're not, i'll keep my perfects and sell the JL's.......... (those infinitys rock shit around, lemme tell you). Partily also judges at comps tend to be more favorable towards setups with those "nicer" companies.....I mean i'm a lil tired of all the JL hype i see EVERYWHERE but i want to try JL to see if they are what they are cracked up to be.

 

i dont think anybody has said this yet... If you love multisub setups so much why dont you just get 2 W7s wouldnt that be the best of both worlds

 

in all honesty if you're looking for sq, want a multisub setup and all that, i'd reccomend a set of IDQ's... i owned a 12w3v2 and my idq's run laps around that sub in every way imaginable. they are both in the same price range/power range but the idq will out-sound quality and play louder than the w3's. or you could go with a w7

 

well i was at work today looking at some lightning audio lit. and the storm the best subs they have and they have a setup that you can change the motor strcture of the sub to performe fore sq or for spl and they will work with low power and they will take alot of power, i would check that out, i dont rember how much they are

..........................eh..................i won the bid for 3 of those 12w3's in a JL power wedge for $225 less than that (shipped). Good luck though man, there's someone out there that wants JL's ina pimp box like that (those obicon boxes are sweet).

SO it looks like it'll be the 12w3's with this time around, i'll keep you guys updated on how they sound and perform on my 1200w audiobahn amp (dont hate when it's cheap). And again anyone interested........

3 10.1 infinity kappa perfects absolutly MINT condition w/ another year of manufactures warranty on them in a custom box built for cramped ass trunks (specifically mustangs) and all wired up and ready to go ( @1.3 ohms) and they are just barely broken in, they sound sickeningly awsome. Again only selling them because i'm mental and i want to try JL to see if the hype is right.
