I think so. I had it on for like 5-10 minutes almost all the way up and it was pretty damn loud and clear. Didn't notice any change in the highs like I was noticing. What will happen if I change the settings on the crossovers? I have them on 0 right now I believe(how they came from the factory). I bought the components mainly just for their loud/clear highs. The CDT crossovers also have another place to hook up a second tweeter to it; would i need to give the crossover more power then? Thanks alot.

Oh and why do people say CDT titanium tweeters are harsh? I'd like even more highs personally.

If the tweeters get to hot they can shut off. Does your amp cut out or clip? Try turning down the gain or getting a cleaner amp. Who told you profile is a good amp? THat is the stuff they sell at the fairground.

The tweeters themselves seem to cut out because I lose all the high highs. I searched and asked on caraudio.com and everyone said profile is a good quality amp for the money. Not like its high end stuff by any means, just that its built well and puts out the rated power it says.

Then the tweeters are getting to hot and they are shutting off. what are the tweeters made out of? Try turning down the gains and tell me what happens.

I did and it seemed to fix it. Thing is, the components aren't even getting their rated power (75rms instead of 90rms). I wanted to push more to them because I want my highs/mids louder than they are.

Get a cleaner amp for you mids and highs. Remember a amp's job is to amplifly sound. It will also amplifly distortion. Borrow a friends amp and hook it up see if it helps. Also does you crossovers for you tweeters have a setting on them. Some brands have it where you can make them louder

Try putting it on -3. So they dont work as hard and you will get more out of them when you turn it up higher. Tell me what happens
