Wire two subs to mono or 2 ch amp?
Wire two subs to mono or 2 ch amp?
On all the sites they say to use a mono amp for two subs, in my experiance, everyone I know has both subs wired to a bridged 2 channel.
I was looking at getting maybe two kicker comps which are dual 2 ohm. Would it be wise to hook two of these subwoofers to a single 2 channel amp? and how would I? would I do it parallel, then hook them to the +R and +L or what?
On the flip, I was also looking at two 4ohm svc subs, would that be smart to hook to a 2 channel amp?

the mono amps are usually class D, whereas 2 channels are a/b.. class D is more efficient, so its easier onthe ol charging system to run class D mono amps for subs

Go mono. Less drain on your electrical system, and they usually are stable to a lower impedence load...which means more wiring possibilities and more power.
