It's either a bad power or ground connection with the HU. Check all the connections are tight, clean, good solders etc. If so then you may have to do what Jesse said and run a seperate power straight to the battery. If you do that you'll want to run a ground of the same gauge.

Yeah, I have to agree with Steve...sounds like a loose wire or fuse somewhere. I'd double and triple check all you power and ground wires on your HU.

I don't know guys.. sure as hell just sounds like the bass is skipping the deck. I have this exact same problem and does the exact same thing. Also it never does it for the radio?.. Seems kinda obvious to me. You guys are looking into it too deep.

Turn the deck down to a low level (a level in which you could talk to someone sitting next to you) and start the song over and see if it does it.

If it does, then its a power issue or quality of the deck issue.

If it doesn't, then its the bass skipping the deck.
