Question Need Suggestions About Where to Get A Good Glide ?

I really wanted to get into the 8's with a C4 but I have decided before I go wrecking a perfectly good and fresh C4 with all the goodies I am going to put in a glide and be done with it.

I am going to need something that can handle quite a bit of power, some stocker or slightly modified piece is not going to cut it now or when I run the boost up.

I picked up a ton of brochures at PRI for Powerglide companies so I have a good starting point but I want to hear some first hand accounts if possible.

As mentioned I would prefer someone local or within the state to make it easier to pick up, make adjustments to if needed, and keep cost down some. While I am not looking for some billet case $4k job I do not want to do this twice.

But I am not limiting myself to just Florida companies, just would prefer it.

So please post up any first hand knowledge so I can make a educated decision.

Thanks in advance.

Scott, I had Rob @ Fordspeed build mine. Wasn't anything high dollar, but it did have a good converter (IIRC that ran just under 1k) and was well put together.
Worked like a charm.
I'd give him a shout.

Paul Dorn, He does alot of the local drag racers..... If you have seen Lip Shifted on a race car that is who I am talking about..... He can do anything from mild to wild and he is usually resonably priced and best of all he stand behind his work..... He just moved his business not to long ago, I believe he is in Safety Harbor now..... I'll pm you his number.....

Used to use Paul. But now I use Steve with CRT. He just moved to zepherhills. He will have the glide you are looking for.

And now after talking to J & W Transmissions on the other coast I am considering a TH400.

One thing I can promise you, being in business, no matter what type, you will NEVER please everyone. I've always heard good things about CRT
