This stupid idea popped up in my head.
Salutations bitches.
1. I love Z32's.
2. I Dislike VG's.
3. I like RB's.
=
4. RB swapped Z32.
Any info? It's just a thought atm as I'm sure I don't have the currency for such endeavors, what level of "total pain in the dick" would this be? (10 being that AWD S14 nonsense from awhile back, 1 being snailing a KA)
Thank you.

I recall coming across a some info on that swap a little while back... I'll see if I can dig it up and get it posted, but if I can remember correctly, it is just a touch more difficult than swapping one into an s chassis (assuming you have the ability/resources to fab stuff like mount brackets) The wiring is a little bit more involved. Other than that the price is pretty much the same.
I've owned a z32 and even the na vg hand room is a problem

This looks a little better

This looks better to me

Just about everything has ben done

im not sure how i feel about the weight distribution, since youre hanging another half of an engine over the front of where the vg sat.
but, thats just a guess, maybe it would be cool with different spring rates.
ive seen an sr z32 around here that was pretty cool, seemed to fit perfectly in the engine bay, clutch fan and all
i think if i was going to do an I6 in a z32, id probably do a 1j or 2j, and not have to worry about turbo vs. master vs steering shaft stuff personally.

I like the RB Z32 idea. Both are boat anchors, so at least the distribution should be close. If you mount it right, it'll fit under the stock hood.
But then there's the insanity part. Obviously you're not doing it for power, because you can make similar power (mid range power figures, not extremes here) on the original engine. People have done it before, so it's nothing ground breaking. Both parts are old, and it's going to eat a lot of cash to make both reliable.
So, if you have a total hardon for this, go ahead. But be warned that only hardcore Nissan dorks like me will think it's cool. Dirt poor drifters and anyone driving a car made after 2003 will not care.

LOLOL.. I think it'll be neat, but I don't see it actually manifesting.
