Blown Head Gasket? Good deal?
I have a buddy that is selling a '93 Eclipse GST for $300 He says it has that I need to replace the head gasket. Are there any problems that would be caused from a blown head gasket? The car is still a good deal even if the engine is completely shot. I'm just short on cash & would like a car with minimum work required. Any input would be appreciated, thanks!
I'm planning on buying it. Do you know what other problems come from a blown head gasket? That's the question I have. Please dont PM me saying "I'll buy it!" or anything like that.

As long as the car wasn't driven around with a blown headgasket, you should be fine. However, if he did drive it around and overheated it, the head may have been warped. If the timing belt is needing to be done, this is the perfect time to do it. For $300 bucks, seems like a decent deal.
