People out here do that shit all the time, friends, co workers, friend of friends. People say not to lend friends money right..... shit I lend friends money all the time, trust me its worth the $20 bucks to get rid a doosh bag thief friend

If they were in your house, and thats ALL thats missing, then its clear the person knew you had them.
Your boyz have to have said something to someone.

Also, did you take pics with your cell and post them anywhere? If you didnt know this already, your cell phone pics give your exact GPS coordinates.
