So, here we were...
Time: 11:35pm
Place: Turning south onto 66th Street north from Park Blvd, Inside Left turn lane
Who: Me and My neighbor riding shotgun (Vin Diesel imposter )
What: The 1991 Supra Turbo 5sp and what looks like a 1988 Mustang GT 5.0 which was equipped w/ a Knob that the driver was Turning... If ya know what i mean. He had planned on playing w/ me as soon as he heard my open DP... Conspiracy to Drag race i think.

How it happend:

We were out for a joy ride, listening to the open downpipe and bullshittin. we are Westbound on Park, pull into inside left turn lane @ 66th St north. I pull up to the crosswalk. To the right of me is a 98 accord or something. but behind the accord is a White GT w/ like 4" cowl induction fiberglass hood, Chromed Pony rims, lumpy idle. I know he saw me and wanted a piece... cuz as soon as the light turned green, i took off slow, short shifted every time. once i was past the Accord, he cuts over into my lane behind me, and we get far enough ahead of the Accord, goin south on 66th street for him to cut back over into the right lane... we were doin about 50mph before we got to the first light and we are pacing eachother and i know he wants to go, cuz you dont just drive side by side for no reason, goosing the throttle. so Dom...er my neighbor is like "Smoke him chris! cmon!" so down shift from 4th to 3rd and Hammer it... at 50mph. And he pulled ahead by 1 car, my nose as at his rear bumper. before i shift out of 3rd @ redline, ive already made it up to his rear quarter panel... i power shift into 4th, and im reeling him in still. at about 4500 in 4th gear, we are side by side and im still pullin... traffic ahead is coming on pretty quick for me to be comfortable w/, but he still has room ahead... i shut her down @ 5700 in 4th gear and had put 2 cars on him by the time i get on the binders and downshifting to help slow me down a little sooner.

As soon as i had downshifted and punched it, he had jumped ahead by 1 car, and now that i think about it, he probably has a set of gears in that thing and hit his WOT switch on his Nitrous.. and i just think "well i had a good run.. after all, this is basically a stock supra w/ 177kk miles on the clock, cant complain" and then i start to pull on him and im like "wait a second... the supra aint done yet, lets keep on the pedal and see what happens" and i just keep rollin and rollin past him.. i dont know how fast we were goin, but i looked down AFTER i hit the brakes and the needle receeded past 100 mph... we were goin kinda fast. but, he has more room to go, and he doesnt have to brake as hard and just coasts past me... no thumbs up, no "Nice race man"... maybe all i got was a Glare and thats about it. So he turns right down a neighborhood street, and i follow him in assuming we were gonna pull it over and shoot the shit to find out what eachothers got... but no, he just keeps goin, doesnt stop. i follow him out onto 38th Ave... he probable thinks we are gonna beat him down now, cuz Dom...er my neighbor is about as big as Vin Diesel was in the movie. anyhow, tahts about all after that. I think the poor kid was too embarassed after gettin Own3D by a Jap car

but thats all i got... not enough to consider this MK3 fast by any measure.

anyhow, i know i broke the law and im sorry for it... so dont start flaming me for racing down city streets.

4" cowls are tooooooo big unless he has a 351 with a highrise card stuffed under it in which case, you would have gotten a glimpse of his taillights for just a momment

i DID get a glimpse of his tail lights... but i reeled him in hard core and i kept on rollin past him. i put on at least 2 cars before i had to shut'er down.

He got the jump on me, pulled by one car. my turbo spooled, i reeled him in. i shifted into 4th, kept pulling on past him. was @ about 5200 in 4th gear before i had to get on the brakes. and he did a Mullet-flyby and didnt bother to give me a 'good race' or thumbs-up. i assume he was embarassed from bein walked by a jap-car.
