Yesterday night I was coming home from work with my girl in the car, top down and just relaxing with no worries. I am on driving down Fowler when I see this black mr2 pull out from that one community near applebee's...raintree I believe, but anyways...They pull out and im still cruising at the speed limit at 50mph and the mr2 speeds past me to catch the light but darn, they get the red. So I roll up next and it looks like she(it was a female driver) is smiling big as hell with a guy friend in the car. It seems she was having lots of fun rolling back and fourth to show that she has a manual transmission...im like ok, I know im in the Temple Terrace area so I don't try anything.
Light turns green, off she goes, I didn't do much but cross the bumpy ass 56th st on Fowler, switch to 2nd and roll next to her, she looks like she dropped a gear and raced towards the next red light... Now its just her and myself at the light. No one is around so light turns green, I get a bad start she takes off but once i catch myself in 1st off I easily pull quick to her, switch in 2nd and pull about 2 cars on her, while I was switching to 2nd i look in my rear view mirror and saw huge puff of smoke come out of the mr-2 but regardless the gs-t wins...the guy friend in her car sticks out his hand as they fly by w/out hazards on(good thing) and gives me the thumbs up.

ps: i had my ac on as well

 

i have seen her on the road a few times, always wanted to run, but never had the chance. btw.....what apt complex was that pic of your car in your sig taken, looks like my old one, later

uh sorry to break it to myself, but i know her.....what was she thinkin? anyways of course you are gonna beat her even with your ac on, it a stock n/a mr2, but if your willing to run a turbo, thats a different story. i'll post a night that we go to bmp.

and for everyone else that jumps in and says i wanna run you, i'm not challenging him to put him down....just so he can see the difference is all....last i remember, the mr2 was not made for drag...

You guys crack me up. It might have not been made for drag, but you sure as hell are trying to do so, so its game on.

 

Wow, its you guys that crack me up.....at least people with nsx's and mr2's will fix them up for drag, i never here you guys try to take on a road track. what? you only have a 1 dimensional car....or is only the driver's?
