Well the streak is over, and hell--it was fun while it lasted, certainly more fun than losing.
It was a great race, and I learned a valuable lesson--don't go from a 4k 2nd gear roll when 01birdofprey is at full boost and spraying...:o
Was a hell of a run, he immidiately put a car or car and a half and we stayed that way untill i finally started gaining a little--very little--ground thru the end of 4th. The competitor in me started the shift to 5th, but common sense won out and I got out of it. I thought, if I can't win by 150, I must have lost...Surprisingly, Danny got out of it at that same moment.
He has done a hell of a job on that car since our last run, and I actually under-estimated that cars power. Dumb, very dumb.
but still a hell of a run. Thanks Danny for the beat down, I was getting cocky, now I'm hungry.
Oh and to add salt to the wound, I just got a $46.00 ticket for too loud exhaust...i'm goin to bed.

 

... Your exhaust loud.. Nah.. I would fight it.. It must have been an awesome race.. Once again I missed it. I would not have been able to keep up anyway to watch it.. I could have told you not to race a SC'd car in 2nd at 4k rpm.. That puts him right in the meat of his tq.. Plus thats a 50mph roll.. Your advantage would have been starting around 20mph..

Yeah we got hassled by that fag sheriff also. Apparently now I am trespassing when I go to Gandy. We received warnings and was told we'd get arrested if we came back without fishing equipment. Oh and this was after we watched the same sheriff slam some kid on the hood of his car, cuff him and then proceed to cuss like a sailor for no reason to this kid. All because he had a pocket knife that the kid admitted to having. Talk about a Grade A asshole.....

 

I guess all the fishers better leave their pocket knives home and start breaking their lines with their teeth..

 

Sucks about the ticket, Good death though, I can't wait to see your car in action in person.
