superlude.. i used to be like you... unless you have a monster budget you wont complete this project. at 600whp trannies will be snapping left and right, unless you are doing all the labor yourself u will run out of cash. Even if u do get a dyno off.. you'll never be a real threat to anyone since your car will always be broken

vtechonda no one said it was,nt a race because it was race!!!!! but my friend with the ls1 turbo was,nt planning on racing anyone untill he got his car runing right! but a friend of ours had already called dsm turbo out to race without my friend knowing he was gonna race! but he figured since he was going on the bridge anyway to test his car he would race dsm turbo at the same time! so it was a race and dsm turbo did put about 2 to 3 cars on him! just to get the story straight!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not here to knock anyones project, but just out of curiousity, I've heard about the turbo LS1 needing tuning for a few weeks now, but I've never heard of tuning a turbo motor by throwing nitrous on top and seeing what happens. It would make sense to me to tune it on a dyno first and then maybe adding some nitrous, but hey that's just me.

all ive been seeing around lately on this board is the arguement of racing from a stop or a roll, and i thought that i would post my ideas on the issue. racing is seeing who can build there car and drive it well enough to race from a dead stop till the 1/4 mile mark. its all about knowing how to launch your car, shift quickly, reaction times, and knowing how 2 keep ur tires from breaking loose between shifts (if u hav that much power 
). racing from a roll wont prove much since its pretty much just floor it and go. it doesnt require reaction time, and knowing how 2 drive ur car. it will prove who has the faster car but it wont prove whos the better racer, and this is all about racing so wud u rather b a fast racer or a guy that has a fast car. i personally hav respect for those guys that hav extremely powerful cars and will race any1 from a stop w/ out bitching or crying...why? cuz they are racers they built there shit to race wich includes time and parts into making ur wheels grip. those are true racers. after all why wud u want so much power if u cant control it? so grow some balls become a real racer and race from a stop...or wuts the prob?

urfuct just like u said the car needs major tunning or some shit the car as it sit runs like a stock ls1 camaro without turbo i tryed to conivence him not to install the nos but he does,nt give a shit! but after all the nos selnoids where not any good so he still could spray! Once he get the car running right and gets a bigger turbo unlike the pos turbo he has on there! the car will run very strong!!!! someday!!!!!
