Pulled up next a black lightning today.. Younger guy with his girl are driving.. We both give each other one of those, "Hi, I drive a SuperCharged SVT as well.". looks.. It's easy to do. You look at them kinda like you have serious gas, squint one eye, then give the thumbs up.

Anyway, light turns green.. I stay in first longer then usual, here the lightning behind me chirp off the line. Not sure if he is racing yet.. Here the SC whine comming up to my passenger door.. He is definatly wide open throttle. I then slam on the gas, catch up to him when we are even, then start to pass him as I hit the rev limiter in 1st gear. Point proven, I shut her down as to not break any more laws.

I am thinking the lightening was teasing you.. You know those 5.4L motors cant be beat.. Good Kill..

 

Claiming victory after 1st gear is just as bad as a ricer fly by.

 

Too much traffic, bad area. Why risk it? Plus, I seriously doubt he was going to catch up. When you are walking someone, 2nd or 3rd gear isnt going to add jet thrusters to help propell them forward.

It was all in fun. And I was pretty sure I had gobs more hp and traction then the lightning had.

Why even bother if you're only going to go through 1st gear? What is that, maybe 1.5 sec.?

And the only way you would be walking anybody after only going through 1st gear is if you dead hooked and they spun like mad.

And how do you know you have "gobs" more power if you only go through 1st gear?

 

I did dead hook, nitto drag radials are my friend. lol, why am I even arguing about this.. He had stock boost apparently, since the eaton gives full boost @ WOT. I am not running stock boost.

You never know when running a lightning, it could be pullied, so it's always fun to see if they are. I find them entertaining, becuase alot of the same stuff I do to my car, is the same that they do to thier trucks. Someday I may run into one thats running 16lbs of boost, somedays I usually dont.

I am just using past experience here. If I catch up to, then walk someone that hard from first gear. They always dont catch up and pass me unless I have taken my foot off the gas.
