That is a good thing to practice, you need to be real picky and take your time when it comes to installing nitrous!! And it seems like you have everything planned out good, Al is a really nice guy and seems to know what he is doing. I only had the pleasure of meeting him once a while back. It sounds like you are planning to spend alot of money here soon, good choice on the brakes they are big bucks... My car really lacks the suspension mods but hopefully some day I'll sit down and acually deside on which way I will go Strip -or- Corners. I would like to check out your ride some time, sounds like a pretty respectable LS1..

It aint too shabby for an LS1.

 

I have a Pewter SS with ZR1 wheels.. If you see me out come up and say hi.. My current mods are Brandon Aders TEA Stage 1 heads.. I have a Futral Motorsports cam.. 4.10 gears.. Forged bottomend.. Thats about it.. My only downfall is my 285lbs and my heavy SS. My car sits at over 3750lbs with me in it.. For my setup I do quite well.. Not many can beat me NA.. Some have to spray me to keep up and then there is the real racers that can lay the smack down on me.. I am not really worried about them.. They do not have a 12 disc player kicking the tunes while racing. One day I will try and get my raceweight down to atleast 3600lbs.. That would be fine with me..

 

Well at least you went w/ forged internalls From what I understand LS1's cant really take a healthy hit of NO2. So how big of a shot do you plan on using? It will be interesting to see how it runs.. So do you basically have the same setup as Al? Well I dont know what Al has anymore its been a long time ago..

Actually the ls1 can take a healthy shot.. It's the tuning that everyone skims on.. What I like about my setup is I do not have to run more than a 100 shot.. My plan is to only run a 75 shot and do some weight reduction.. That puts me well over 500rwhp/650rwtq.. Any more than that and I will not be able to put it to the ground.. I am not building a drag setup.. Just something for insurance.. My engine can take a 200 shot with ease.. I could probably getaway with a 300 shot with a progressive controller, but whats the point.. I am not trying to be the fastest on the street.. If I was I would strip my car and run a 150 shot plus.. I like my car the way it is.. All the creature comforts.

 

With some nitrous your going to be kicking ass and taking alot of names Nice runs

 

I am only putting the nitrous on as a test.. I am going boost next year.. I am not trying to be DaOne.. I just want to keep up with the times..

 

LOL!! I am not looking for a lot. I just want to keep up Will If I do like the nitrous, I feel I will not like the boost. This is my form of testing. If that is the case I will go with a 434ci Solid Roller next year instead of boost.. That would be 550rwhp NA and more reliable..
