Wow, looking at your 1/4 mile time & MPH, they must have been short races off the line, or you have added some mods. Most Vettes I am familiar with are turning very low 13's or high 12's with @ 108 & higher. The week point of the C5 is Goodyear Runflats; remove them and you easily pick up .2 or more in the 1/4. Of course, the majority of Vette owners are the 'Sunday driver' type & do not have a clue how to really drive.

We had a WRX running at Road Atlanta the last time we were there & he did a great job in the twisties, but always lost ground in the straights. I think they would make a great daily driver, decent power & good handling. The 2004's will be taking that up a notch too.

BTW if you want to run a convertible, I will let you know the next time I am in the area.

I can guarantee most Vette owners don't like "being behind." Just imagine imagine how those poors guys felt, losing to a Subaru. All-too-many buy Vettes and really don't understand the competition. 20% of Corvettes sold have a 2.73 rear, which sucks! But most of the owners don't know better. I think the 1/4 mile time for that is almost 14.0.

I doubt he would have been able to make up the differance I put on him out of the hole only pulling on me like he did at 80.
Well most C5's turn 107-108 in the quarter and cut 2.1-2.3 60 ft on the GY RF's (I can't tell you how bad they are-or how worse they get after a year).

I could definitely see you holeshot and carry it to 60mph, and even the 1/4 with you mid 13 time. But, your low mph is where most 'vettes will eventually kill you-top end just after the 1/4.

Still that little car can really be an ego bruiser!!

Oh and Sully, I think most C5 A4 2.73's can run a 13.6-13.8 in the 1/4. But there is one guy with that setup turning a 12.9 completely stock (but at 104 mph). Of course, this is an anomaly.

GM reports the '97-00 2.73's at 13.9. 12.9 stock 2.73 is unreal. :o :o

thats the beauty of AWD...to an extent, i totally hate running people from a roll, just because of the drivetrain loss..i believe its 25% of the crank hp makes it to the wheels in AWD...possibly less. thats the reason for such shitty MPH up top they are great 1/8 mile cars, cause you dont really feel it slow down like ya do in the 1/4
