i was on erlich heading towards sheldon when a dark orange saleen convertible pulled out in fron of me. we both hit a light a few cars back he proceded to weave in and out of traffic and get in front of everyone. he went threw at least 3 or 4 gears and i followed behind slowly. we both hit a light a couple blocks down and i talked to him. he said it was a supercharged V8 and he had a 50shot on it. we proceded to roll out of the light and i just held it in second gear and i told him to get on it. i was chillin at like 5500rpm in second gear and hit it right after he did. he jumped about a half a car then i got back even with him at the top of second(when all 11psi kicked in) and passed him in third. then let off in the middle of third. i dont think he was spraying tho.
he was a little crazy lookin, looked kinda like tom petty, but still a pretty cool guy and a good run.

anyone know the difference between the new cobra and saleen motor????

 

yes the 03 cobra has a DOHC 32v 4.6 w/an eaton blower the same one thats on the Lightning... the saleen is just a SOHC 4.6 w/ a saleen speedlab blower.... for the money the cobra is the way to go, it has alot more potential than the Saleen..

yes for the most part... the saleen has a real nice look and stance, w/ a whole lot bigger price tag:o
