Raced a new 350 z , not really a race at all , they need to come out with mods quickly for that car! Very nice looking car on the bright side!

 

Yeah they are nice cars. I like the interior.. simple and clean... the shifter on those cars feel awesome. Very percise and smooth. Like a 911's shifter.
They are trying to steal our thunder... the Z28 is the only 350 cu in. Z.

 

The door handles are rediculous looking!

i believe your z28 killed the 350. i know my car is neck and neck with one, and a z28 will walk all over my car by many carlengths.

its going to take nitrous or a turbo kit to get the 350z to run with z28's or new mustangs. not sure what nissan was thinking...as its their flagship in this country. a v6 just doesn't seem like an engine that will be tuner friendly...as compared to an inline6 where its easier to setup for turbo...but hopefully i'm wrong in this assumption.

nice looking cars though, and i as i understand it they should contend with s2000's in their respective scca classes.

I think it and the S2000 would be in the same category of performance types too..
I drove another 350Z today... Still love that shifter.
A guy (old red firebird) the other day at a gas station while i was filling up asked me if my car could take a new 350Z. I looked at him kinda funny... just kinda told him that it wouldnt be much of a race. He thought the new 350Z's were like dodge vipers or something??..?

 

Your right on with the Z28's but a new mustang GT isnt that fast so right there it would be a close race. Im not talking about the Cobra but a normal GT normal runs in the high 13's just like the 350z. And the V6 is great for turbo, go on Maxima.org and see how many turbo guys there are now. Shit with only 8psi there are a few guys running over 360whp and 350wtq. The only problem is that there isnt many people that know how to tune the cars, we dont have nissandata out unlike hondadata for civics and shit.

 

I am pretty sure Blitz came out with a supercharger for these cars...
I heard somewhere around 450HP?
