last night at one of the spots, eric (Mr 2) with the black eclipse and Stuart (smoore) with the yellow NSX, were both there and someone set up a race between them, 2nd gear roll, first race was eric on low boost pump gas, 2nd race, hi boost race gas..from a roll, 1st race the NSX pulls nicely, after round one Smoore-1, Mr.2-0, 2nd race on the race gas/big boost setup was much more interesting, stuart gets the jump and holds strong, somewhere around the 4th gear shift on the NSX, the eclipse starts to pull hard, gets a car length ahead and had to shut down before having to cross a bridge into tampa, where the brakes gave us all a nice fireworks show, we all thought the eclipse was gonna have to cross the bridge but he found a spot to cross the road and came back...this was a really good race, Smoore-1, Mr.2-1,both drivers were very mature and classy about it, there wasn't any shit talking like "i woulda win if this..i woulda won if that"....maybe if its nicer out, we can see those two run from a stop, but the pavement was kinda damp and both cars woulda just spun like crazy, anyway, it was about the only good race really last night that i saw, so i figured i'd post it

 

Well the races took place where nobody could see it. Both times he got the move. The first time I was breaking up, he got 2 cars on me. I could not catch him. the socond run I changed my plugs and ran on higher boost. He got the jump and got about 1.5-2 cars out because I started spinning real bad. I pulled alittle back in 3rd then shifted into 4th and walked by him pretty hard. Pretty good runs.

 

I got a piece of the Lotus on the way home...I was not impressed

It went well for me until 5th when he flew by me like a bat out of hell

 

why do people have to post these war stories? let the people who were in them post em up.

...cause i talked to both drivers and neither of them wanted to post it, and it was a good race, so..here it is

pappa smurf is the only person i know on Tampa Racing so far except me that tells it like it was.

Eric the first race we did we both got on it from a second gear roll and i punched it as you did (my car is loud you'd hear me punch it so it's not much of a move IMO) but i was pulling hard, keep in mind this is after you saying "lets race and if i have to i'll race you on full boost. After 2 cars i let off as you know it wasn't even close (no point rubbing it in).
the next time you missed a gear so sportsmanlike i let of when i heard you miss a gear (some would claim another win).
Finally, after you change your plugs, fix you over heating problem, put $20- race gas in your car, and crank the boost up to 28psi we went from the roll i punch it as you did, knowing the reason my car jumped was because i would have more torque from the hit until you spolled up. From the second gear roll at around 50mph we went got 1 1/2-2 cars ahead and stayed like that, then shifted into 3rd he caught up a car by the end pf 3rd, i shifted into 4th and he caught another car as my car has the stock gearing in the tranny (not for long) i left vtec for a second and he got another car after i was at 145mph i let off and braked for the turn which most cars would have had to keep going becasuse there wasn't much road left to do the turn at our speeds, unless you take the bridge.
Eric's car is pretty fast on low boost and very quick on high boost.
next time we race it'll be from a stop and although he'll slowly catch me towards the end it will not be enough to claim victory.

 

I don't get it, you say you got out 1.5-2 cars, then in 3rd I made up a car(.5-1 cars behind) then in 4th I made up another car (0-.5 cars ahead) that means I won right? BTW I didn't shift into 5th and my 4h ends at 140mph so that is where I let off. Don;t get pissy, I said nothing bad about you, unlike many people hear. We will go from a stop and don't make assumtions.

How bout we run at the track?I will be there on saturday the 18th. We can run N/T (No
Time) if you want. I will run the same tires as I had on saturday, no slicks.

 

And why do you think we left at the same time? We both ran up to 50mph in second, waited for a few seconds, I look at you and you are looking ahead not at me, then I hear your car get real loud and I punch it. Sure I didn't leave much after you but that tiny jump does help.

 

the last time we ran you won. and no oen is getting "pissy" especially me, and what did i say that affened you i didn't talk bad either so go figure now i don't get it!
anyway i only somehow end up gong to the track last minute maybe 2 times this year and never seem to find the time to go out their otherwise i would. as for assumtions i think we are all entitled to do that don't you?
