Flounder was first up. Raced him the same spot I raced the C5. We hung for a second, then I walked away car lengths.. Good show flat fish, it's one of the nicest honda's I know. Greg is such a good sport, makes me even feel bad posting this.

Next up is Al's SS. I feel bad becuase Al wasnt driving.. So, I will call it Shalanes SS. I think the outcome might have been different other wise. First run: I here Al's car scream and lurch forward.. So, I gun it. We hang neck and neck, then I walk by. Shift into 4th pull a car and shut her down.. 1 for the Cobra. 2nd run we do, has simaliar results.. We hang, then I pull.. 2 for the Cobra. 3rd race, Al's car walks by me. 1 for the SS.

I do have to say this was the most fun I have had with my car tonight.. Al's car is VERY intimodating. The rumble. the sound, and the way it lurches forward and screams when the car goes WOT.

I want to race your friend in the other silver (I think) F-Body Al!!!

Now the real story Shalane did ok for not driving the car since its been on the road this time around, including the misadjusted clutch. Heres how it went from inside the car. We lined up with us a half car back going through a gradual turn. They both nail it and Shalane gets sideways....I proceed to yell at Shalane to STOP! STOP!!!! STOP!!!!!!!!!!! And she finally lets out and The Cobra walks away.

Second race...Shalane gets on it in second...shifts at 4500 rpm...misses third...finally gets in third...revs to 4500 again and short shifts. Spent more time shifting than on the gas Cobra win.

Third race I tell her to start in third to keep shifts to a minumum. We start at around 3000 rpm and about a half car behind. We both nail it and the car chugs forward and begins to roll by the Mighty Cobra , shift into fourth at 5500 this time (about 1200 rpm before redline) and pull a lil more...end up about two cars ahaed.

All in all Shalane did good for not driving the car for 4 months. We are going to put her on a training program to woop some Cobra butt Next time And we are gonna race for money...big money...$5 :o

the first race scared the shit out of me....it reminded me of the first time i ever raced anyone in his car...going sideways and all that good stuff. the only thing i remember about the second race is that it wouldnt go in ANY gears on top of being yelled at . by the third race i was ready....and i took you and that was only through one gear and still babying the car!!!!

aharon...we could tell you were scared! you wouldnt line up with me....everytime i downshifted and started to speed up to line up with you....u took off as soon as i was at your door.....next time we will line up dead even and go....ill wait for you to get your stuff done if ya want...would it be fair to use the nawwwwsss when you get that stuff done? since you have a blower

Ahhhh, dayum!!! I guess if I had made you switch drivers last night and let Shalane drive I might have had a chace. The SS just walked steadily away from me. But we are not surprised. It has always done that.

shalane says she will race you after some practice.

i no longer fear the juju. with the luck ive had its only up from here.

the supra was my buddy chris....he is still on the stock twins with a lot of other upgrades.

after another 500 miles or so ill probably put the nitrous back on it and some slicks and head back to the track and see what she'll do.

 

How much practice does she think I will need? I'm willing to work hard.

Oh man, you spit in the face of the JuJu! You are indeed a brave man...you know I have absolutely no control over that beast.

I guess I should feel honored to pull a TT Supra even if the hairdryers are still stock. Probably a good thing we didn't have a longer stretch of road though. I start looking for another gear, which isn't there, pretty quick.

Can't wait to see some official, fired in anger, times on that beast.
