Sunday night, just driving home from UF in my mom's '00 Maxima and I notice a sweet ass GS-T in front of me (it had the boost gauges on the pillar and everything) Forgetting I'm driving my mom's ride I catch up to the guy and we stop at a light. I edge up to him little by litte just to let him know i'm not some mom in a maxima...he's already raising his rpms getting ready to drop that ish. We both peel out like a bitch...1st and 2nd are tied the whole way then in 3rd I finally pull on him. I tried to talk to the dude to tell him how sweet his car is, since I drive an eclipse as well, but he turned. I guess i'll be asking my mom to borrow her car more often talk about torque!

uhh, yeah they got torque , when compared to the other jap 4 cylinders everyone has. I belive that the 95-99 has 210tq, not sure about the 00-01 but I know that they have 222hp. The VQ engine has been rated as one of the top ten engines in America. I have a max and everyone tries me in their civics, integras, eclipses, and other imports then when i pull on them in a 4door they either get all mad or they keep trying to run me. I love it knowone expects it.

well mine has 200 at 1500rpms so it has enough but not over kill on the front tires. I have had my far share of kills in my maxima.

 

Maxima's now have 3.5 litre V-6 and have had them for 3 years now.

I raced a modded one @ 140 MPH and he kept cutting me off as I went to pass him.. :o

well just this year they put the new 3.5 motor in them the 2001 had 227hp and the 2000 and down had 222hp intill 99 and down had 190hp and 190tq. as for top speed I had my 96 up to 150 before and still had about 1k left.
