who needs v8 supercharged when stock bottom end on a supra takes 903+ rwhp

 

Yeah, 2k in a Cobra or 2K in a Supra TT would yield better results in the Cobra in my eyes. The Supras have horrible traction problems and very peaky powerbands which make them difficult 1/4 mile cars. I think you might be talking about a white 6-speed TT that had the driver side rear part of the door smashed in. It seemed pretty stock. I tried to get him to race me on Dale Mabry a while ago from a light and he wouldn't go, and I had passengers and he was riding solo. He said only from a roll, so Danek with the turbocharged s2000 raced him from a roll and tore him up!!! Well, there is always next time. Next time my buddy's SS is down in Tampa we need to arrange a race, we doesn't have faith in the 03 Cobra!!! Take care -KEVIN-

 

Supras have about as much traction problems as LS1 cars.. I was in Baton Rouge, LA last month and I saw a bunch of Supra's running 9's, 10's, and low 11's.. They all drove their cars to the track and not one of them ran slower than 11.4's at 124mph.. There were about 20 of them at the track holding their own.. I think the Supras we see around here are not as heavily modded and obviously the drivers do not race as much as they do up in La... The 9 sec Supra was running ET Drags and so were the mid to low 10 sec Supra's. The 10.5 and slower Supras were on ET Streets or DR's.. MPH's ranged from 124mph to 162mph..

 

Supras have a bad rap about traction because most the drivers can't drive them. Same goes with FWD DSMs
