mustang gt vs civic dx
alright, i'm not into posting war stories, but this needs to be posted. i definitely had my fair share of run-ins with mustangs tonight...
first, i saw a brand new 2002 svt mustang, with the blower, fast as hell, didn't race the guy but it was a really nice car...however he claimed 500whp which i think was about 200 too much. said it had 1500 miles on it...was going tomorrow to get the pulley put on...i think?
then, some idiot in a yellow mustang gt with a donut on his back rear comes up along side of me...so i kinda play around with him at first, pass him, then slow down because my valentine 1 lit up...then i spotted the cop...etc...well he went screaming by me (this is when i noticed the donut) and then slowed down(i think i made him get on his brakes because i got on mine as soon as my radar detector lit up, which is why he got upset)...got along side of me and started pointing his finger, wanting me to pull over for some reason...probably to fight or something...and you mustang guys wonder why everyone classifies you as stupid mullets...anyway, this guy was an asshole and i'm glad he was riding around on his donut.
so finally, i'm coming south on i275 when two kids in a dark red/maroon mustang gt convertible come up along side of me...and by this time i was like fuck it...i'll race these kids. well they go flying by me at like 75mph and then i got on it...until like 90-100mph when i was finally able to pull even. then, we go around a corner and we go again, this time i was ready, from about 75mph this time and i was able to pull slightly more than a car length this time up to about 120mph. however, they almost hit me and caused an accident...so i doubt i'll ever run a mustang on slightly curvy roads, even if it is the highway. this was near the exit for tropicana field and they pulled off several exits before my exit...which is for st pete beach.
overall, a night where i saw 3 mustangs tonight and the new svt mustang was mean as hell. can't say the stock gt's were that impressive though...and to think, my car is untuned, getting 18mpg running rich as hell. can't wait till i can solve my wiring problems...then i might be able to scare some slightly modded gt's.

i guess it was a 2003 svt mustang, was the new one, with the blower. sorry i'm not that familiar with ford products.
and, zate said with 300-1100 dollars its possible for the new ones to put 500hp to the wheels, so he could have been telling the truth. he was a real nice guy, he might post online...said his car was extremely fast...and i believe him.

03 cobra =390 stock...so he was about 100hp off..was it a newer or older style GT?

not sure what year exactly, but both were newer ones...not like the one in your signature...and does anyone know the guy in the yellow mustang gt with the donut? its like a 98 maybe...looked pretty new, what an asshole.

btw, this was on 19south, right at the intersection that leads east towards gandy...i ran into him like a mile before...and then he went straight and i went left towards gandy...because i wanted to hit i275...
