I liked the fact that the Corvette guy ignored you. I would have too.

nice runs

Zetec is variable exhaust valve timing. It was/is found on the zx-2, not the zx-3. I have a zx-3 and it says it on the valve cover. Don't ask me why Ford put it on the valve cover. It's not even a performance enhancer...just an emissions thing,

What type of Honda do you have?

No such thing as "ZTEC". The 2.0l Zetec motor is available in all Foci and the ZX2...and is available in other displacements in Europe. Zetec is basically Ford's DOHC 4-cylinder line of motors, which are soon being replaced by the newer, smoother Duratech line of 4-cylinders. I think I have seen that guy with the "DOHC ZTEC" sticker on the side. If I remember correctly it was dark blue and the sticker looked like the DOHC VTEC sticker found on the last generation Si. Did he also have a big Focus decal on the side?

Edit:

That is Duratec not "Duratech" as I posted above.

Not sure if he is on the board, but I spotted his car over at Devine Sounds when I was getting my "girlfriend's" Mustang tinted.

Roadracer...Zetec is not an emissions thing. The Zetec motors found in the ZX2 do have VCT (variable cam timing) on the exhaust cam which does aid in better emissions. Fortunately, the Zetec's in the Foci do not have this performance hampering VCT. However, the new SVT does have a similar VCT setup, but it is on the intake cam and actually enhances performance. Just like the VCT found on the ZX2, it is not computer controlled like VTEC.
