3g eclipse GT vs V6 stang
I work with this kid he has a v6 mustang and all he does is talk about his mustang and how hardcore it is and fast. The kid cut off the exhaust at tha cat and left like that as far as i know and drives it like its stolen. Well we get along and all so i said ok if its so badass run me. We get outta work and line it up do a 60 roll and i give him the hit he pulls out as i shift to 4th and i start to pull on him hit 5th and i'm pullin away. We basically did a 60 - 120 roll and i beat him by 4 cars lol.

Nice. I ran a V6 mustang in my bolt on gsr integra and had no problems walking away from him.
Where in an era where v6's are making awesome power. Look at the 370Z making 340+whp with boltons.

True, but domestic sixxers have ALWAYS been significantly less powerful than their import counterparts. The Z car's have been doing great with a V6, you've got the inline 6 of a Supra, RB series motor, etc. Most domestic 'quick' cars are primarily v8 based it seems like.
^^ The money you would spend modding an american V6 is going to cost so much to get moving quick, as opposed to dropping a V8 and adding a couple of bolt ons.

Turbo 3.8's have been done in the Mustang world, for not TOO much money. Drop around 4 grand on a custom kit, and you're pretty much set. However, you could throw the same amount into a GT and be much better of. Like you said, though, some people like to be different!




Those things should be able to walk away from any GT earlier than an 05!
