I was just cruising in my 76 mustang ll coupe 351w that everybody makes fun of on here. just working the bugs out. this gto rides right beside me for like 5 miles if i speed up a little he speeds up, then he stomps it. so I do too he put a length or 2 on me before I can do anything but then I look over as I am driving by, and his girl is screaming at him as I drive off. I let off and he gets beside me again and asks if I want to sell it. whatever nooo. then I look at him and I know him. i asked if it was stock and he said no. I still have 3.00 gear in it so a roll on was not what he wanted.

With a good driver, high 12s, just like the LS1 GTO - both bone stock.

However driving a GTO to its full potential is HARD and most drivers cannot drive the car to even ½ of its potential. I cant count the number of poeple I've seen, watched, or heard that were in the totally wrong gear for a roll race....much less use a M6 from a dig.

About what speed were you two going when he nailed it? A4s have a hideous dead spot around 40mph.

And anything slower than 11s is slow in my opinion, so yeah they are slow.

 

we were going 60 and turns out I know him and its not stock. and he knows how to drive. he also has a 9 sec nova. im pretty sure my car runs mid to low 12s without the nitrous. I dont know what has been done to it but when I asked if it was stock he shook his head no.
