Coming back from the spot Saturday night I encounter an older silver convertable RX7. Hes sporting the big shiney dual canister mufflers and sounds pretty much stock (I would guess). We catch the light at Waters and DM he is reving his car at me like he wants to race but I did not respond since I feared I would get my ass handed to me (thinking this RX7 could be quick). Light turns green I dont race and he starts messing around with these 2 bikes.

I catch the next light right behind the guy in the RX7 with the 2 bikes beside him wanting to run. The light turns green and the RX7 gets a pretty shitty burn/bog launch. I decide what the hell and unleash the raw fury of the Zetec after he gets to the other side of the intersection. To my suprise I started gaining fairly rapidly on the guy and end up changing lanes to pull around the RX7. Still pulling from him I shut down and he slowly flys by.

Not sure if he was giving his car all it had but judging from that launch I assumed he did. So a decent sudo kill for the Slocus.

 

Hey Phatstang1 are you the only Focus owner here? Hopefully when the SVT Focus gets more popular well se more of them. Theyre really cool cars and have better performance numbers than the civic si.

 

hey rob its taylor... AMber my fiance has one too.. we were tuning it last night on the dyno.. put down decent number.. 122hp/118tq.. not bad for a motor rated at 130 at the crank
