I have a 93 ford probe gt that is bone stock. Ever since i got it i have been talking smack to one of my friends who has a 99 camaro V6. Friday night we caught a lite. I pulled one car on him off the line and slowly pulled him the rest of the way. At the end i had him by about 2 maybe 2.5 cars. I thought it would be a little closer since his car has 36 more horse power than mine.

 

that is a great story. i feel soo bad for the camaro driver. good kill.

 

Man I feel bad for the 94-98 Mustang GT owners because the probes are almost as fast.

 

I used to have a 96 Probe Gt. I loved that car. My roomate had a 98 Stang GT with flowmasters and we would battle constantly. He would usually get me by half a car but if he messed the little probe was right there. The only reason I got rid of it was due to lack of aftermarket parts to make it faster. If I could have gotten it to lower 13s NA I would probably still have it.

 

Doesnt that guy with the Camaro V6 take care of 94-98 Mustang GTs pretty easily?

I dunno.. it doesnt make sense.. unless that means I could take care of those Stangs the same way..

Id say the PoonProbe was a pretty good match for me.. so for $19000 less and at 50000 more miles you can have a car as fast as a GS-R.. weird..

Yep. Fwd and a six cylinder too. That thing was a blast to drive. I just got sick of getting beat buy worked up 5.0 Stangs. I almost got the turbo kit for it. But was dissapointed when I learned most Turbo Probes were still in the 13s. Then I almost got an Acura since there was a huge after market for it. But...i read an article on the LS1 and said thats for me.

 

oh no! it is on now! maybe a 94-95 gt but no way my beloved 4.6 is getting beat by a probe my 97 gt was always dead even with lt1 camaros 93-97 and i dont think a v-6 chamaro can hold against and yes ive driven all of the cars i am talking about--- im not saying anything bad about your probe or anyones camaro but i wanna see it beat a stock gt at the track...

 

I definitly dont think i could beat a 94-98 mustang gt but i think if i had exhaust and intake i could give a stock gt a good run. The only one i think i would have a chance against stock is a stock auto convertible. I have heard those run high 15s in the quarter.
