i had a sweet street racing kill sunday night i was lined up with a 92 rs camaro he had a 350 in it with a lil work done to it my gt is modded a lil bit i heated up my tires just so dude could see i had some power he just looked over never heated his tires the hands of the flagger dropped and i hammered it destroyed um outta the hole but he was gaining on me we started to go neck and neck then my comp polymer intake kicked in and i started to pull on um i looked over once we crossed the quarter mile mark and had um by a fender hit my four ways on he was fast but i was a lil faster excellent race

 

What all is done to that motor to warrant the short runner intake? I am just curious since I have a high winding built 308 with a Victor 5.0 on it.

 

its just basic bolt ons and a full exuast the reason for the short runner intkae is that i was gonna put nos on it and the comp polymer intake feeds all the cyl equal as to not starve it from air and nos builds more equal power

Speaking from personal experiance I would not run that intake with nitrous. Any hiccup or backfire will send that thing into a million pieces then suck them down into the motor. I know because I was in my friends Mustang when it did just that. You can stay with the box if you like but get a metal one for safetys sake. I prefer you learn by others mistakes not your own.

 

My buddy had a backfire on his stang while running a edelbrock intake and it blew it to shit and messed up his cervini fiberglass hood atleast if the polymer box blows its only plastic right

 

Well dont say I didnt warn you. It even says in the instructions for that intake not to use it with nitrous. Youll learn one day dood. My ex lives up near Philly maybe I can have her take some videos of the carnage for me.
